Sun, February 17, 2008 - 12:51 PMThe thing about the train wreck, as you say, is that they are often in need of help. At least some part of them wants to be loved and wants their life to work out. Sometimes it's how they were raised and sometimes it's just that they make bad decision. One of the major nice guy qualities is that they want to help. A lot of the really functional women out there don't give the nice guy that 'pat on the back' feeling that they get from dating the more troubled women. In my experience the nice guy ends up getting burned fairly early on though and starts making better decisions or not dating at all because they did get burned. -

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 8:24 AMok, but the train wreck and the nice guy can have several types of relationships, including symbiotic, self-destructive spiral, one-sided, etc. And then there's the games that the train wreck knows and can't help playing even when it's going to destroy the relationship that she is using to keep from feeling scared and alone. I've found that the nice guy and train wreck thing lasts only as long as it takes for the nice guy to buy a strap-on spine, and stop playing the games that cause the train wreck to be the train wreck, or for the train wreck to figure out that she's destroying her own life and that this is a supportive, and good relationship. -

yes I tend to be attracted to a woman who seems to need help. it's amazing how I can pick up subconsious clues about her injuries or problems and only after getting to know her, actually find out that the pattern has reasserted itself.

yeah I figured out how to express my needs and still remain nice
yeah I dealt with enough crap to get to that point

That having been done, I will be the first to point out that a major flaw of most nice guys is they pursue the hottest looking woman in the crowd just like every other guy. And they get kicked for it and they keep coming back for more. Because she is hot looking. -

Tue, June 3, 2008 - 9:01 PMWe rarely get to find out much about her body, let alone her ability to touch and her oral talents. I'd say probably the most irresistible would the one who seems genuinely interested in me. Who is fun to talk with and has interesting things to say.
Body type attraction I think varies widely, just as it does for the not nice guys. Some like more cushion, some like less.
"Train wrecks" are not by themselves attractive to a nice guy. But a nice guy will generally respond to someone seeking help. So we end up with a fairly large number of friends and no benefits...
